Newton Aycliffe Dog Training Club was created by Sonya Ingledew and Lesley Thompson, with the aim of providing appropriate socialisation sessions for people and their dogs. Coming out of the pandemic many people were new to dog ownership, people had bought puppies during lockdown, and a generation of dogs were lacking in appropriate socialisation skills. We offer free socialisation sessions for puppies up to 6 months old, and affordable sessions for those over 6 months. Sessions are held outside to ensure there is space to avoid confrontation between dogs. We offer life-skills training courses for puppies and for Adolescent/Adult dogs, both daytime and evenings. We have an Obedience Group which meets to learn competitive obedience skills.
